Viaggio Opening

Hello to Everyone!

I hope the change in the weather to the warm is bringing happiness in sloughing off this long winter.

Two things about my upcoming exhibit Viaggio con Le Viste:

I was interviewed this morning by Marya Morstad, host of Art Matters at KFAI radio. It will be played on air this evening (90.3 Minneapolis, 106.7 Saint Paul) from 7-7:30 pm. For those of you out of the range of radio signal, you can go to http://www.kfai.org/node/97 to listen online.

Secondly, the exhibit opens on Saturday! I hope to see you there!

Many thanks are in order to many people who have made this exhibit possible: David Heberlein, Morgan Clifford, Tim Old, Tom Arndt, Carl Toth, Margherita Guerra, Valeria Cossu, Archivi Alinari, Christian Korab, Gary Wolfe and Art Holdings, Nassim Rossi and the Italian Cultural Center, and many many others who have touched me and left a mark. Thank you for your friendship and support over the last four years of this project.

Happy Holidays!

It's been a busy year....I'm generally not a fan of the "once a year catch up letter"...it's in the same ball park as Larry David's "stop and chat". So I'm not going to write one. Against my principles.

Here's a card instead. I hope everyone is well, and best of wishes for this new year and all that it brings!

Take a looksee...

Hello everyone!

My assistant has been hard at work and the big reveal of my website is now ready! To view it, you can go to www.brettkallusky.com. I have photographs dating from 1999 to 2008 (the span of almost a whole decade…) on the website. I am very proud of this work and hope you all enjoy. *

Keeping with Halloween

Can you tell me why in the Pampas, ay and elsewhere, there are bats that come out at night and open the veins of cattle and horses and suck dry their veins, how in some islands of the Western seas there are bats which hang on the trees all day, and those who have seen describe as like giant nuts or pods, and that when the sailors sleep on the deck, because that it is hot, flit down on them and then, and then in the morning are found dead men, white as even Miss Lucy was?"

"Good God, Professor!" I said, starting up. "Do you mean to tell me
that Lucy was bitten by such a bat, and that such a thing is here in
London in the nineteenth century?"
